Well, I finally dragged myself to my first ob appointment. My midwife is really sweet. I will be using the apprentice. She was so excited to hear that. This will be her first actual delivery where she is in charge. The midwife will be supervising every step of the way. She even encouraged me to play "stump the midwife" on the apprentice.
We don't have an exact due date at the moment. The midwife thinks I am further along than I think I am. She says I am measuring 18-19 weeks but I think I am 16-17 weeks.
I will have a sono in just two weeks to get more accurate date. Yea! I hope to find out what the baby is then too.
They say (whoever "they" is)that if the heart rate is under 140 then it is a boy and if it is over 140 then it is a girl. Of course, I know that isn't accurate but even if it was, it wouldn't matter because the baby's heart rate was 140 on the dot.
So the midwife wanted to address my anemia issues with Celtic sea salt. It was interesting to read about. It tastes like mineral salt blocks for cattle.(don't ask me how I know)
Now is my favorite time of pregnancy. My morning sickness is finally gone! WooHoo!!!! and I am not so big that I am miserable but I am starting to show enough to kind of look pregnant. I am not aching too much in various parts of my body like I know I will be a couple of months. So all in all, things are good.
