I went to the local thrift store today (think small, non-profit, hospice store not the big goodwill kind). We were looking for formal dress for my dd's sweet 16 b-day. We are planning a formal banquet.
Well this store does not keep the prom/wedding dresses out on the sales floor because they are always selling their clothes for really cheap and don't want to include those dresses. So we are looking and looking and didn't find anything in my dd's size. But in the midst of the sea of tafita stuffed on to the hanging racks, I discovered a very small, black, very cute tuxedo. Size 2T. All of the pieces are there and in perfect shape; looks brand new.
No tag.
So I asked how much it was.
$2.00
Yep. That's right.
$2.00
So even though Liam is only 6 months old. I have bought him his first tuxedo. He can already wear 18mths clothes on occasion so 2T isn't way too big for him.

Finally some pics (v-day)
Not the best pics, certainly not the best lighting but worth posting just the same. I printed these as wallets and gave them to David as part of his valentines gift.

Here is my personal favorite. It needs a little commentary.
What you don't see:
"scoot over."
*snap*
"No, I'm suppose to be here"
*snap*
"Your hurting me!"
*snap*
"Liam's pulling my hair"
*snap*
*Get the tulle off his head*
*snap*
"Move your arm!"
*snap*
"I can't! Theres not room."
*snap*
"Sonja stop bouncing! You're hurting me!
*snap*
"What? I'm just riding a horsey" *ornery grin*
*snap*
"Move your elbow"
*snap*
"No move yours"
*snap*
"Get your knee out of my back!"
*snap*
"Stop it! You're hurting me"
*snap*
"get the tulle off his head again"
*snap*
"Scoot over!"
*snap*
"I am over as far as I can! You scoot over"
*snap*
"Stop it!"
*snap*
"Y'all hush!"
*snap*
"Liam stop putting the tulle on your head"
*snap*
"Just be still and quit hurting me!"
*snap*
24 snaps and a little creative photo editing and Viola! Everyone has a decent look on their faces.

Report on my accomplishments
Like you care. But I am making myself post and don't have anything good to say.
Ok, I went through every stich of clean clothes in our closets. I went through many of our dirty laundry stashes, of which we have waaaaaay too many waiting their turn to someday be washed. I didn't get to all of them though and my laundry room doesn't really look better yet but it is much roomer with the 6 garbage bags of clothes that we removed from there. Yep, six full garbage bags, as in the big black 39 gallon bags stuffed as full as we could get them. All gone.
Ahh. nice feeling.
I accomplished about half what I want to do and about twice what I actually expected to get done so I guess we are good.
And the naked kids can find some clothes. I did finally realized that my kids that were complaining that they had no clothes to wear were telling the truth. When we finished culling dj's closet of all of things that no longer fit or had big holes in them she had one lone red shirt left and that was all. No wonder she has been wearing nothing but holey jeans for weaks now.
Time to go to the thrift store. It's tough job but somebody's gotta do it. (yippy yippy!)

Accomplishments
I am making myself post because I have committed to do so ever so often. That means you all have to read stuff more boring than normal.
This week is very busy. Yesterday we had our homeschool co-op and didn't get home until 6:30. No it didn't last that long but some people don't know how to stop chit-chatting and let other some people go home.
Today will be the only day that we are accually home this week. The rest of the week is super busy preparing for the dinner theater at church.
So here are my plans for the day. (a little reluctant to put htis down in black and white for fear of accountability but here goes) I plan to go through ever closet and and every dirty clothes hamper and every stitch of clothes we own and rid our selves of 95% of them. I don't know why we have so many clothes that don't fit or can't be worn and yet we can't find clothes in this house that actually fit a few of my kids.
That is my plan for the day. Oh, I also hope to get some 5 month pics of Liam but there are no promises there. Hey, he is actually going ot be 5 months old for another 3 weeks right?
