I have a praise report

This is one of those good things that happened over time, when I wasn't looking.

Alizabeth(3rd dd) started developing petite maul seizures when she was 5 years old. We took her to the family dr who sent her to a specialist. She had an EEG and was diagnosed with epilepsy.

They started her on some anti-seizure meds every morning and every night. They stopped the siezures but made her sick to her stomach for a few hours everyday. They next month, they changed her meds hoping to rid the stomach aches. They put her on a med that was "new". This new med gave her headaches and her hands started twitching. At that point I decided to do some research on the med she was being given. It had very bad, long lasting, life changing side-effects. Much worse than the actual seizures.

We took her off the meds and decided to go the natural route. We upped her B vitamins and put her on evening primrose oil. That helped some but she still had seizures.

Her seizures were not too bothersome.
But we were reluctant to let her ride her bike near the road or climb trees very high or take baths alone for fear that she would blank out and injure herself. As she got older, it effected other areas of her life. She couldn't baby-sit, she couldn't walk around wal-mart by her self. Things like that.

We just put up with her "zoning". It happened 15-30 times/day.

When she started hitting puberty and developing, her seizures increase greatly. She couldn't say one sentence without zoning. We jumped in full throttle with all of the natural remedies that might help. But it didn't seem to help.

She is now 12 years old and has gotten through the majority of the hormone fluctuations caused by hitting puberty. One day I realized that I had not seen her "zone" in several days. For 7 years, it was such a big part of our lives that we seldom took note of it anymore so I didn't notice so much when it stopped.

Once I notice that I hadn't notice any seizures lately, I started watching for one.

I didn't see one. It has probably been 3 or 4 months since has had a seizure. They are completely gone!

Praise God! I am so thankful and so is she.

Congradulations Alizabeth. I love you so much and am so glad to be blessed by you in my life.
