it is cold here. no caps because i am cuddling a precious sleeping baby in one arm while pecking at the keyboard with the other.
the wood stove is keeping it toasty in the livingroom, while we experience snow day activities(we don't have the snow just the cold:
tea parties
hot chocolate
smells of soup or perhaps chicken and dumplins(havent decided, right now it is just chicken but I love the way the steam from it has fogged all the windows)
kitting or new kniffty knitter
will we do school today? who knows? my freedom
musicals (rodger's and hammerstien's cinderella, the music man(the old one of course, with opie as the little boy)
paper dolls
cookies and brownies baking in the oven
david is out of town. i miss him but he is making good money. that will help right now. we were just able to afford to get our internet and phones turned back on.
if the last month or so had been normal, today would have been mediocre but since we are just coming out of a major financial slump, today is spectacular.
we don't have any money at the moment but we have everything we need. warm house, enough food, lots of happiness.
and someone just gave me a bag of dark chocolate hershey's kisses with mint truffle filling, does life get any better......

Isn't it amazing how different our perspective becomes after going through trials? It makes you learn to never take God's wonderful blessings for granted.
Your house sounds like an inviting place to be on a cold day, or any other day!
